Thanks for being here!
My name is Elizabeth and I am passionate about helping others. I grew up learning Martial Arts and got my black belt at the age of 11 years old. I entered the competitive world of sparring and weapons so I know the deep commitment of training and discipline. I went to college and earned my Masters in Social Work and decided to get Licensed as a Mental Health therapist (LCSW) after I had gained several years of working in the mental health field. It wasn’t until I decided to leave my 9-5 job
(which I am so grateful for the experience) that I realized deep down I knew my passion was helping others who shared the same values of health and wellness. That’s where The Whole Person Practices was created. I deeply believe that our mind, body, and spirit are intentionally interconnected and to deny any of those areas is to deny wholeness and health. With several years of working with children, families, young adults, and older people, I’m am most passionate with working with high performers who regardless of age have committed to walking the journey of health and wellness. That’s where my heart lies. Helping high performers navigate through life and mental obstacles so that they can reach their highest potential. In 2024, I torn my ACL and meniscus in the middle of training for my 5th marathon. To let go of all the work, I’ve invested in came with its own physical and mental challenges. I’ve also done the work of healing deep wounds from past experiences and I am committed to practicing healthy ways to navigate through anxiety, stress, low mood, all the feelings that come when life hits hard. I personally know what it feels like to face set backs. But I have committed to the belief that whatever life throws at me will not deter me from growing. I am committed to turning setbacks into stepping stones so that I can reach my highest potential.
I am a health and fitness enthusiast, love adventure, and a good challenge. I’ve ran four marathons and looking forward to many more. I maintain a very active lifestyle and when I’m not working with others you can find me at the gym, road biking, hiking, paddle boarding, at the movies, baking sourdough bread, or at a coffee shop reading a self-help book or learning about ways to live healthier.
I’ll end with this, I am deeply committed to living a whole and healthy life- mind, body, and spirit and my hope is that I can help and inspire others to do the same.
With love, keep going
Elizabeth

Mental Health matters for everyone.
And within every high performer is a human navigating the highs and lows of life beyond their field or workspace. Despite their achievements, they experience stress, self-doubt, and emotional challenges like anyone else. Acknowledging this humanity is essential to fostering resilience, balance, and fulfillment, allowing them to excel not just in their performance but in their overall well-being.
My clients are high-performing individuals who are ambitious, goal-oriented, and deeply committed to personal growth but feel weighed down by mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, self-doubt, burnout, identity, or balance. They are often fitness enthusiasts, athletes, or professionals striving for excellence in their field, yet they recognize the need for support in managing the emotional and mental obstacles that hinder their potential. They value a holistic approach that integrates mental clarity, emotional resilience, and wellness to create sustainable success and fulfillment.
High performers often face unique mental obstacles in their personal lives due to the high standards and demands they place on themselves. Here are examples specifically relevant to this group:
Perfectionism in Personal Roles
Struggling to balance personal responsibilities (e.g., being the "perfect" parent, partner, or friend) with professional achievements.
Feeling guilt or shame when personal imperfections surface.
Work-Life Imbalance
Difficulty setting boundaries between work and personal time, leading to neglect of relationships or self-care.
Feeling as though time spent on personal matters takes away from professional productivity.
Overcommitment
Saying “yes” to too many obligations out of fear of missing opportunities or disappointing others.
Spreading oneself too thin, leading to burnout in both personal and professional spheres.
Identity Struggles
Defining self-worth solely by achievements and struggling to connect with one's identity outside of success.
Feeling a disconnect between the "high performer" persona and personal authenticity.
Fear of Vulnerability
Avoiding emotional openness with loved ones out of fear it might show weakness.
Struggling to seek help or share struggles, even when overwhelmed.
Isolation and Loneliness
Feeling misunderstood by peers or loved ones who don’t share the same drive or ambition.
Struggling to maintain deep, meaningful connections due to a packed schedule.
Chronic Stress and Anxiety
Continuously worrying about meeting expectations in all areas of life, leading to sleep disturbances or health issues.
Difficulty “switching off” the productivity mindset during personal time.
Guilt About Prioritizing Self-Care
Viewing relaxation, rest, or hobbies as "wasted time" instead of necessary for overall well-being.
Feeling guilty for prioritizing personal needs over professional or family responsibilities.
Pressure to Maintain a “Perfect Life” Image
Feeling the need to project success and happiness in personal life, even when struggling.
Fear of judgment if others see cracks in the façade.
Transition Anxiety
Struggling during life transitions (e.g., parenthood, moving, or retirement), especially when those changes disrupt their sense of control or routine.
